Bert Bates

Bert Bates is a well-known Java author. Bates spend his last 20-years as a software developer, a Java instructor, and a co-developer of Sun's upcoming EJB exam (Sun Certified Business Component Developer). He is expert in designing and architecting expert systems.

 

If we take a look on the career of Bert bates he started his career by traveling the world to help broadcast clients such as Weather Channel, A&E Network, Rockwell, and Timken. He was also much interested in theory of artificial intelligence and technology-based training. Bert was involved in maximum no. of development teams of Sun‘s Java Certification.

Bates was very young when he wrote his first FORTRAN program in 1974. As a writer he has written in Java, C, TIRS, FORTRAN, COBOL, Basic, RPG, Smalltalk, etc. Bates also wrote O'Reilly’s Head First Java and Head First EJB with Kathy Siera. He is also one of the co-author of 'Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide' (K&B) and 'Head First SCWCD'.
