Apache MyFaces
is an Apache Software Foundation's project. This is
a free open source JSF implementation based on JSF
specification provided by Sun. JSF is a
specification that has been implemented by many
vendors like Apache, Sun, Oracle etc. Several
implementations misleads the users in deciding -
which implementation to use. Among these
implementations, Apache MyFaces provides lots of JSF
components typically needed to create web forms. It
does not require to create your own components as it
itself provides unlimited readymade components.
MyFaces-Tomahawk is a sub-project of Apache as a
superset of JSF components. These components are
fully compatible with Sun JSF 1.1 reference
implementaion or any implementation based on JSF 1.1
specification. It contains default components with
extended functionality along with new set of
components.
